Job summary

Abnormal Security is seeking a Software Engineer I to join the Federated Intelligence Platform team. You will design and maintain high-volume ingestion and low-latency services across global infrastructures, contributing to security-critical systems and production-quality engineering.

You’ll work with AI-native tooling, address bugs and bottlenecks, and collaborate with Detection/ML, Product, Infra, and other teams while growing your skills and contributing to runbooks and documentation.

Qualifications

• 0–2+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent.
• Solid programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and basic algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Implement and ship well-scoped features with senior engineers.
• Own small tasks end-to-end, clarify requirements, and test changes.
• Collaborate on reliability and performance improvements.
• Participate in on-call readiness and incident learning.
• Coordinate with partner teams and document surface areas.
