Job summary

Blueprint Technologies is hiring a DevOps engineer to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. You will develop Python scripts, provision cloud infrastructure, and manage release workflows on an on-site Redmond campus.

The role requires 2+ years in DevOps, strong Python, and experience with Azure, Git, and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. You’ll contribute to reliability and deployment quality in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on DevOps, CI/CD, build or release engineering.
• Strong Python programming and scripting skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Experience with Git and modern source control workflows.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Understanding of software build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, build, deployment, and environment issues.
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating environments.
• Ability to independently investigate technical problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Strong technical communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate software build, testing, validation, packaging, deployment, and release processes.
• Develop Python scripts and automation tools to streamline engineering and operational workflows.
• Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure and development environments.
• Manage source control, branching strategies, build systems, artifact management, and release workflows.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration automation.
• Manage software dependencies, environment configurations, credentials, secrets, and deployment settings.
• Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational health checks.
• Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, infrastructure problems, networking, and environment configuration challenges.
• Improve system reliability, deployment consistency, release quality, and developer productivity through automation.
• Support containerized applications and deployment environments where applicable.
• Identify repetitive manual processes and develop automated solutions to improve engineering efficiency.
• Collaborate with software engineers and technical stakeholders to improve development, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Evaluate and implement tools and technologies that improve automation, infrastructure management, and engineering workflows.
