Job summary

Hitachi is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer for our Cloud & Data Engineering team. You will design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform IaC, and modern deployment practices.

You will collaborate across teams to optimize security, cost, and reliability, implement Landing Zones, and contribute to architecture discussions. A strong foundation in SDLC, scripting, and CI/CD is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 0-3 years of IT experience.
• 0-2 years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Solid understanding of the SDLC.
• Experience with Terraform IaC and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions).
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python).
• AWS certifications preferred; additional AWS Specialty certs preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement, automate, and manage AWS cloud environments following best practices.
• Configure AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs.
• Build Landing Zones per AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Implement IAM, encryption, and security measures.
• Develop IaC scripts using Terraform for automated provisioning.
• Participate in architecture discussions and cross-team knowledge sharing.
• Support cost efficiency and operational excellence targets.
