Job summary

GCA is seeking a Junior AV/VTC Network Engineer to support the Army TRADOC VTC/AV program. You will assist the Lead Engineer with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV/VTC and network components in conference rooms, classrooms, and briefing environments.

The role requires foundational networking knowledge, familiarity with Cisco VTC codecs, and strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. An Active Secret clearance and IAT Level I certification are required.

Qualifications

• Foundational networking knowledge as it relates to AV/VTC environments.
• Familiarity with Cisco VTC codecs and video conferencing technologies.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and rack layouts.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Active Secret clearance and IAT Level I certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network switches and related infrastructure.
• Support day-to-day LAN connectivity for AV/VTC systems and conference room environments.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of AV/VTC systems and components.
• Support Cisco VTC codecs and related video conferencing equipment.
• Troubleshoot AV signal flow, audio/video distribution, and endpoint connectivity.
• Perform cable installation, termination, labeling, and testing (CAT6, HDMI, audio, control cabling, etc.).
• Assist with wiring and dressing AV/VTC racks according to schematics and drawings.
• Provide on-site support for conference rooms, classrooms, and briefing environments.
• Work with IP-based AV systems and ensure proper endpoint connectivity within existing network infrastructure.
• Maintain system documentation, diagrams, and service records.
