Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an entry-level Autonomous Vehicle Technician to assist with basic inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting on AV systems. You will learn hardware, sensors, electrical systems, and diagnostic procedures while supporting more experienced technicians.

This on-site role offers hands-on field and shop work, safety-focused training, and clear advancement opportunities within AutoNation’s AV program.

Qualifications

• 0–2+ years automotive/electrical technician experience.
• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work under vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs under supervision.
• Assist with sensor handling, calibration setups, and test preparation.
• Support diagnostics and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage issues.
• Document maintenance activities in fleet management systems.
