Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician in Paducah, KY. You will perform oil changes, tire services, and light maintenance, using diagnostic tools to assess vehicle condition and document findings.

The role requires basic experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work a flexible schedule. Compensation is hourly with a flag rate and benefits coverage is included.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Current, valid Driver’s license; 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.
• Documents vehicle condition using Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable, following guidelines.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Works flexible schedules, including weekends when needed; other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

State Inspector License preferred
