Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Lakeville, MN, is hiring Auto Repair Techs to diagnose and repair customer vehicles to high standards. You will handle multiple repairs daily with a seasoned team, following MAP guidelines and dealership standards.

The role requires diagnosing vehicles, explaining repairs to customers and managers, and maintaining ASE certifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training.
• Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, Monday- Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals such as the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
• Recommends services to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; documents all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.

Automotive Technician / Mechanic

is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturer’s and company standards.

COMPENSATION

$60,000/Yr. to 85,000/Yr. VARIES DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
