Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
• 0–2 years automation experience (internships, co-ops, projects).
• Basic experience with SCADA or HMI and CAD tools.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, embedded systems, robotics, industrial networks (Ethernet/IP).
• Fundamental electrical knowledge and wiring basics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes to identify automation opportunities.
• Design and develop automated systems including hardware and software.
• Document automation requirements with project teams.
• Track project timelines and resources for ongoing automation projects.
• Select, integrate, and test sensors, actuators, controllers, and software.
• Implement control strategies to optimize performance and safety.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs under supervision.
• Test and validate systems, collect data for quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations for basic technical support.
• Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and best practices.
• Follow safety standards and assist in commissioning and startup.
