Hoffman & Hoffman, Inc. seeks an Associate Automation Engineer to support development, design, and implementation of industrial control systems for building automation projects.

You will assist with PLC/DDC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and field commissioning under guidance from senior engineers. The role emphasizes learning company standards, control system architecture, and software integration while contributing to project execution and system optimization.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Trade school certificates or equivalent training may be considered with relevant experience.
• 0–3+ years in industrial automation, instrumentation and controls, PLC/DDC programming, or a related field.

Responsabilidades

• Perform product selection for common automation systems and support generation of accurate control system drawings.
• Instantiate graphics and configure HMI/SCADA screens per company standards.
• Assist with basic PLC and DDC programming tasks using standard templates and reusable code.
• Support testing, device verification, and troubleshooting during bench testing, FAT, and site startup; travel up to 30% may be required.
• Maintain project documentation including IO lists, sequences, test protocols, and redline markups.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in mandatory safety training (e.g., OSHA-10).
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards for right-first-time and on-time delivery.
