Hoffman & Hoffman, Inc. is seeking an Associate Automation Engineer to assist in the design, development, and implementation of industrial control systems for building automation projects.

You will work under senior engineers on PLC/DDC programming, HMI/SCADA configuration, and field commissioning. The role emphasizes learning company standards, control system architecture, and software integration, contributing to project execution and system optimization on site in Oklahoma.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related technical discipline.
0–3+ years in industrial automation or related field.
Familiarity with PLC/DDC, HMI configuration, and HVAC systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and generate control system drawings and select products for automation systems.
Configure HMI/SCADA screens per company standards.
Assist PLC/DDC programming using templates or reusable code.
Support testing, commissioning, and site startup; travel up to 30% and overnight stays as needed.
Maintain accurate project documentation including IO lists and sequences.
Follow safety procedures (e.g., OSHA-10) and ensure quality standards.
