Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Ohio or awaiting Ohio Bar Admission.
• One (1) year of legal experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of family law litigation from initial case development through resolution.
• Attend and appear in court for hearings and other legal proceedings with guidance and mentorship from experienced attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, discovery, and other legal documents with attention to detail.
• Develop the ability to articulate legal concepts through strong verbal and written communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Conduct legal research and assist with case preparation, hearings, and trials.
• Learn and apply strategic litigation approaches through collaboration with experienced attorneys.
• Maintain organized case files and meet deadlines using firm technology and systems.
• Communicate professionally with clients and develop strong client service skills.
