Job summary

Little Diversified Architectural Consulting seeks an Architectural Designer for our Community Studio in the DC (Tysons Corner) office. The role emphasizes high-quality design, collaboration across teams, and exposure to a variety of projects and planning studies.

Responsibilities include creating concept models and renderings, supporting construction documents, and learning construction practices on site. A path to licensure is supported, with a focus on strong communication and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited university.
• 1+ years of professional work experience.
• On the path to licensure.
• Solid design and production skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid computer skills including Revit, rendering tools (SketchUp), and presentation software (PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Ability to do hand sketching and learn across all aspects of Architecture.

Job description

Responsibilities include:

• Providing conceptual design and design support documentation (Conceptual physical and digital models, renderings, diagrams, technical drawings) as part of teams working on a variety of building projects and planning studies;
• Supporting construction document teams; and learning about construction practices on building sites; and
• Support research.

Requirements: Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited university;

- A minimum 1+ years of professional work experience;

- On the path to licensure.

- Solid design and production skills;

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills:

- Extraordinary computer skills (strong Revit experience required, rendering programs such as SketchUp, and programs used to prepare presentation documents such as PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), as well as the ability to do hand sketching;

- Self-motivation and a desire to learn about all aspects of Architecture.
