Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time, entry-level architect to perform basic architectural assignments, produce design iterations, observe construction on site, and support senior staff with drawing preparation and project documentation.

Under supervision, you will assist in developing concepts, reviewing regulatory requirements, and compiling data for studies, reports, and layouts while gaining licensure-ready experience in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
0-3 years of related experience.
Must establish and maintain a personal NCARB record in preparation of licensure examinations.
Ability to obtain Architectural license in applicable state(s).

Responsibilities

Consult with senior staff to determine functional and spatial requirements and prepare design information.
Project research, field work, observation and preliminary design calculations.
Prepare studies and reports and assist in developing design concepts with both digital and hand formats.
Review regulatory codes and interpret project scope for opportunities and constraints.
Visit sites to observe conditions and assist in integrating engineering elements into designs.
Assist in administration of construction contracts and shop drawing review.
