Job summary

SGS Consulting in Philadelphia is seeking an Application Support Engineer to maintain enterprise applications, databases, and vendor products. You will review code in C#, Java, .NET, and SQL/Oracle, and perform routine and ad-hoc tasks, including Oracle patching and system updates.

You will support OMS outages, generate web reports, document changes, and coach teammates on best practices while collaborating with vendors to ensure continuous system functionality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with enterprise applications and databases.
• Ability to review and troubleshoot code in C#, Java, .NET, and SQL/Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and maintenance for enterprise applications, databases, and vendor products.
• Review and troubleshoot code syntax in C#, Java, .NET, and SQL/Oracle scripts.
• Execute routine and ad-hoc tasks, including Oracle patching, data archival, and system updates.
• Support outage management systems (OMS) and assist in handling outages and related data processes.
• Generate and respond to web report inquiries and other system-related requests.
• Coach team members and end users on ongoing system processes and best practices.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve product issues and ensure application functionality.
• Maintain accurate documentation for system support, maintenance, and code changes.
