Job summary

Andersen is seeking a Junior Android Developer to help build a digital banking SuperApp. The role focuses on secure, scalable mobile banking features, payments, and integrations with external systems.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in Android development with Kotlin for 1.5+ years.
• Experience in banking/fintech apps.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack components.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with REST APIs.
• Understanding of MVVM or similar architecture.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, networking, JSON, and error handling.
• Experience with Git and basic Gradle.
• Basic understanding of mobile security and secure data storage.
• Experience with unit testing and debugging.
• English level: Intermediate+ or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android functionality for the SuperApp, including partner integrations.

Andersen is hiring a Junior Android Developer for a project developing a digital banking SuperApp and delivering secure, scalable mobile banking services, payment functionality, and seamless integrations.

Our customer is a well-established financial institution offering a broad range of banking products and services to individual and corporate clients. Its core activities include retail and corporate banking, lending, deposits, payment processing, money transfers, and digital banking solutions. The company operates an extensive network of branches and service offices, serving a large and diversified customer base. It also supports businesses across various economic sectors and maintains relationships with international financial institutions.

The project is focused on developing and enhancing a digital banking SuperApp that integrates iOS and Android applications, backend services, banking products, and external systems. It includes implementing banking and payment functionality, ensuring reliable transaction processing and data exchange, and supporting the full software development lifecycle to deliver secure, scalable, and seamless digital banking services.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining Android functionality for the SuperApp, including features related to external partner integrations.
• Integrating third-party APIs and services into the Android application.
• Implementing networking, authentication, data transformation, error handling, and integration-related business logic.
• Developing scalable and maintainable Android components in accordance with established architectural standards.
• Collaborating with backend developers to define and implement API contracts and integration flows.
• Writing unit and UI tests.
• Investigating and resolving functional, performance, and integration issues across different iOS versions and devices.
• Working closely with QA, Android, Java, DevOps, and product teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Commercial experience in Android development using Kotlin for 1.5+ years.
• Experience working on banking, fintech, or other financial applications.
• Good knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, and core Jetpack components.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with REST APIs.
• Understanding of mobile application architecture (MVVM or similar).
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, networking, JSON serialization, and error handling.
• Experience with Git and basic knowledge of Gradle.
• Basic understanding of mobile security principles and secure data storage.
• Experience with unit testing and debugging.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience integrating external third-party services.
• Familiarity with Clean Architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Google Play release processes.
• Experience with UI testing and performance optimization.
