Job summary

CycloKinetics is seeking a Junior Analytical Chemist (L1) to join our R&D team in Salt Lake City, Utah. You will apply analytical chemistry knowledge, support method development, and work closely with scientists, chemists, and engineers on innovative propellant-related research.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, data analysis, instrument operation (GC, HPLC, GPC, MS, spectroscopy), and adherence to safety and documentation standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry with 0–5 years in analytical chemistry (R&D or QC).
• Master’s Degree in Chemistry with 0–3 years in analytical chemistry (R&D or QC).
• Experience across analytical chemistry theory, hardware, instrument maintenance, method development.
• Experience with Agilent and Metrohm instrumentation preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO, ASTM, EPA, ICH, USP, EP methods is desirable.
• Experience in regulated QA/QC environments (cGMP, cGLP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support analytical testing, QA, method development, and lab research activities.
• Analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine properties and products.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot GC, HPLC, GPC, MS, and spectroscopy instruments.
• Assist in developing and validating analytical methods and SOPs.
• Record, interpret, and summarize experimental data for project decisions.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to troubleshoot analytical challenges.
