The Entwistle Company seeks a detail-oriented Junior Analyst in Hudson, MA to build a long-term career in a collaborative environment. You’ll support inventory reconciliation, GAAP accounting, and cross-department issue resolution while learning business processes and contributing to organizational goals.

You’ll work with ERP data to analyze variances and assist with journal entries, with growth opportunities in a manufacturing and government-contractor setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in accounting or finance with reconciliation.
• Knowledge of GAAP concepts and account reconciliation principles.
• Proficiency with Excel; ERP/accounting systems experience (Global Shop Solutions preferred).
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment; government contracting experience a plus.
• Excel modeling with nested formulas, PivotTables, and logic formulas.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory reconciliation; research variances using ERP data and documentation.
• Identify process, training, or system issues and elevate to management.
• Maintain detailed ledger reconciliation schedules and prepare monthly journal entries.
• Communicate with other departments to understand transactions and resolve issues.
• Assist with transaction corrections, system cleanup, and follow-up processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inventory reconciliation; utilize ERP data and documentation to research and explain variances
• Identify potential process, training, or system issues and elevate to management
• Maintain a detailed schedule for ledger reconciliations and prepare monthly journal entries
• Communicate with other departments to understand transaction activities and resolve issues
• Assist with transaction corrections, system cleanup, and process follow-up when needed
• Other duties as assigned

Technical Qualifications:

• Minimum Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum one year experience in accounting or finance, including reconciliation (2+ years preferred). Relevant internships or co-op experience may apply.
• Working knowledge of GAAP concepts and account reconciliation principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Experience using ERP or accounting systems (2+ years preferred); experience using Global Shop Solutions a plus
• 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Prior government contractor experience a plus
• Experience with modeling in Excel preferred, including nested formulas, pivot tables, and math and logic formulas
