Job Summary

• Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit‑and‑loss statements and capital expenditure schedules.
• Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
• Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget.
• Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports.
• Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

Essential Functions

• Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
• Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
• Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

Required Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience.
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree.
• Discipline/Major: Finance or Accounting degree preferred.
• Additional certifications: CPA preferred.
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills; account reconciliation; balance sheet analysis; bank reconciliation; calculate depreciation; financial accounting; financial reporting; general ledger accounting; month‑end close; quarter‑end close; revenue recognition; spreadsheets; year‑end close; GAAP standards; accounting software.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
