ABOUT BLUEANGLE
BlueAngle is a fast-growing managed service provider specializing in M&A IT integration, infrastructure, and cybersecurity services for mid-market to enterprise clients. Our internal platform team is the engine behind that delivery model: building the agentic tooling, integration infrastructure, and AI-augmented capabilities that power our client-facing teams to deliver technology-leading services and exceptional outcomes to clients.
BlueAngle delivers platform capability through a library of codified engineering patterns combined with AI assistance and a strong review gate. In this model, a motivated early-career engineer riding that scaffolding ships production-reviewed work quickly — a recent hire delivered reviewed integration servers within their first week.
We're hiring a Junior Platform Engineer to add build throughput: producing integration servers, component registrations, and contained pipeline pieces alongside the existing team, within a reviewed delivery model. We hire for aptitude and AI-fluency over years of experience, and we have a proven onboarding path and peer mentorship to ramp you fast. The role reports to the Platform & Technology Lead.
HOW THE ROLE WORKS
- Codified patterns carry the expertise. Internal tooling encodes the house engineering patterns; you drive them rather than reinventing them.
- AI is the force multiplier. Scaffolding, drafting, and iteration happen with AI assistance in the loop.
- The review gate keeps speed safe. Every artifact flows through schema, security, and quality review before it lands, so fast production stays trustworthy.
- Peer mentorship compresses the ramp. A teammate who recently completed the same onboarding guides you through it.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Completing a compressed ramp on a fully documented onboarding path
- Authoring integration servers including Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for the platform gateway
- Registering platform components in the architecture catalog
- Building contained pipeline and capability-module pieces: schema validation, packaging, and module authoring
- Keeping specification, tracker, and repository in sync
- Contributing to the assessment, reporting, and module backlog that is bottlenecked purely on capacity
- Code review, security sign-off, production secrets, release authority, and architectural decisions sit with senior engineering. You always work behind that gate which is precisely what lets an early-career engineer ship production-grade work safely and quickly.
CORE DELIVERABLES
- A steady cadence of reviewed integration servers delivered to the gateway.
- Component registrations and packaging contributions to the capability-publishing pipeline, in parallel with the team.
- Build-out of the assessment, reporting, and module backlog that is bottlenecked purely on capacity.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Aptitude and fast self-learning; genuine AI-fluency — you work effectively with AI / agentic tools.
- Able to read and write Python and TypeScript; comfortable in Git with disciplined pull-request habits.
- Security-conscious and coachable — you ask for review, follow guardrails, and don't route around the gate.
- Any exposure to Azure, Terraform, or CI/CD pipelines (the scaffolding supplies the rest).
- Curiosity about agentic platforms and the Model Context Protocol; a prior internship or project portfolio.
- Not required: years of platform/DevOps experience or deep prior cloud-infrastructure mastery. The platform's
- scaffolding and review model supply that.
ENGAGEMENT
- Part-time: 25-30 hours per week
- Type: Early-career, full-time (or intern-to-hire).
- Location: Remote (US), hybrid optional.
- WorkingHours: Standard business hours.
SUCCESS CRITERIA
- Day 30 - Completed the onboarding ramp; first reviewed integration server or registered component shipped.
- Day 60 - Producing reviewed artifacts at a steady cadence; rarely blocked on the documented path.
- Day 90 - A reliable producer of scaffolded platform work, operating confidently within the review gate.
