Job summary

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Jr. Data Scientist/AI Specialist in the Annapolis Junction, MD area to join a team delivering data-driven insights and AI solutions for government clients.

You will apply Python and R, perform statistical analyses, design machine learning models, and collaborate across functions to translate data into actionable decisions while maintaining security and compliance with federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 4 years of relevant experience can substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with at least one major agentic AI framework (e.g.: LangGraph, CrewAI, Google ADK, or similar) OR experience with AI coding agents (e.g.: Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or similar) as a core part of your development workflow.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data-driven solutions using programming languages such as Python and R.
• Conduct statistical analyses, including regression, hypothesis testing, and distribution analysis, to interpret data accurately.
• Design and train machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow and Scikit-Learn for predictive analytics and automation.
• Perform data wrangling to clean and organize raw datasets, making them ready for meaningful analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver actionable insights.
