Job summary

United Placement Group is seeking a Junior AI Developer to build Claude-powered agents, integrate them with Python back-ends and APIs, and collaborate with the design team. You will own small features end-to-end—from prototype to production—with senior engineers providing mentorship.

You will work on-site in a collaborative environment, growing into a strong applied AI/LLM engineer through hands-on projects and real-world tooling.

Qualifications

1–2+ years of programming experience (professional, internship, or project work).
Solid Python skills and experience with LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.).
Basic experience calling web APIs (REST/JSON) and handling JSON in Python.
Familiarity with prompts, tokens, context windows, and common LLM issues.
Comfort using Git and collaborating in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain Claude-powered workflows and agents using Python.
Call LLM APIs (Claude and others), parse responses, and integrate them into internal tools or web apps.
Collaborate with senior engineers to connect agents to external tools, REST APIs, databases and services.
Assist in prompt design and iteration to improve reliability and output quality.
Assist in building simple context-augmented/RAG workflows with documents or data for LLMs.
Write clean Python code with basic tests, logging, and error handling.
Work with designers and non-technical stakeholders to turn ideas into AI-powered features.
