K Group Companies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Junior AI & Automation Engineer. This hands-on role designs, builds, and iterates automation workflows, AI-assisted integrations, and internal tooling to connect systems that weren’t designed to talk.

You’ll work with the AI Enablement Team, translate business needs into working solutions, support client engagements, and contribute to reusable templates while growing toward a senior engineering role.

Qualifications

• Experience with APIs, webhooks, and JSON without tutorials.
• Familiar with Linux environments and reading documentation.
• Ability to explain what something does and why it was built.
• Not a strict playbook; capable of solving problems creatively.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation workflows with n8n and API/webhook integrations.
• Develop AI-assisted pipelines for document processing, classification, and routing.
• Connect disparate systems (CRMs, ERPs, ticketing) to enable seamless data flow.
• Build internal tools and dashboards to surface automation outcomes.
