Job summary

K Group Companies in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a hands-on Junior AI & Automation Engineer to design and implement automation workflows, AI-assisted pipelines, and internal tooling. You will connect diverse systems and evolve solutions that improve efficiency across client engagements.

You will contribute to delivery under leadership, participate in client discovery, and help document outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Hands-on builder with a focus on automation workflows using APIs, webhooks, and JSON.
Familiarity with Linux environments and ability to read documentation when no walkthrough is available.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain what was built and why.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain automation workflows using n8n, APIs, and webhook-based integrations across business platforms.
Develop AI-assisted pipelines including document processing, classification, notification routing, and data transformation workflows.
Connect disparate systems—CRMs, ticketing platforms, ERPs, and collaboration tools—that weren’t designed to talk to each other.
Build and iterate on internal tools to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency for K Group and its clients.
Create reusable delivery components, templates, and runbooks to scale the practice across client engagements.
