Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
• Graduating Aug 2026–Jun 2027.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Experience in heterogeneous catalysis and materials chemistry.
• Ability to design and conduct laboratory experiments and analyze data.
• Familiarity with catalyst characterization techniques and interpretation.
• Foundational programming and data analysis skills (Python, MATLAB, R).
• Interest in applying AI/ML to scientific problems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on automotive aftertreatment catalysts with focus on three-way catalysts.
• Design, plan, execute, and document catalyst evaluation studies.
• Develop catalyst structures and formulations to reduce precious metal content.
• Apply characterization methods to understand active sites and aging.
• Correlate composition and performance to design rules for next-gen catalysts.
• Build datasets from experiments, literature, and simulations for modeling.
