Decision Technologies, Inc. seeks a Junior Mechanical Engineer (Aerospace) to join the naval defense program in Arlington, VA or Louisville, KY. This 100% on-site role supports missile aerodynamics, launch systems, and thermal analysis under senior engineers.

You will work with 3D CAD tools, MBSE processes, and FEA/CFD simulations to move designs from concept to live fleet deployment, with exposure to hardware in explosive defense environments and DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• U.S. citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Recent graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• 3D CAD modeling and digital prototyping of missile airframes, launching mechanisms, and shipboard interfaces.
• Support launcher kinematics and robotic motion dynamics analyses for high-speed launch systems.
• Assist in aerodynamics, flight dynamics assessment, and review CFD/flight data.
• Perform thermal analysis and structural FEA using ANSYS/NASTRAN/Patran.
• Support shipboard mechanical integration and topside installation tasks.
• Participate in live test and evaluation planning and data review.
• Review OEM documents and provide feedback on mechanical changes.
