Dana-co LLC in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a highly organized Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The role focuses on daily accounting tasks, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records to support our operations.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree in Accounting or related field, 1–2 years of experience, strong math skills, and proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks. This in-office role requires confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Accurate and detail-oriented with strong math skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with integrity.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting tasks including transaction processing, reconciliations, and maintaining financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and other documents.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department, such as filing, data entry, and handling correspondence.
• Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
