Catbird, a DTC jewelry company, seeks a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on accounts payable, inventory accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close using NetSuite and Ramp. This full-time, hybrid role is based at our Brooklyn Navy Yard headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 0-2 years of accounting experience; internships count.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with NetSuite or retail/ecommerce accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily bank matching in NetSuite and review transactions for accurate coding.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for the annual financial statement audit.
• Prepare bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations; journal entries and close support.
• Process and code vendor invoices; coordinate with AP and Ramp teams, including India.
• Document procedures and support finance system projects in NetSuite and Ramp.
• Assist with ad hoc projects across the finance team as needed.
