Aqueduct Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in Canton, MA.

This hybrid hands-on role rewards strong attention to detail, clear communication, and ownership of work as you learn core accounting processes and how an IT services business operates. You will progressively take on reconciliations, close activities, reporting, systems, and process improvements while collaborating across Finance, Sales Operations, Services, and other teams.

Qualifications

• 2 years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or internship experience
• Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with NetSuite or another ERP/accounting system is preferred; willingness and ability to learn new systems are essential
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-moving environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate professionally across teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including comfort working with formulas, data validation, and reconciliations

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities by reviewing transactions, processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and researching internal or customer questions.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other assigned accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Contribute to month-end close by preparing supporting schedules, validating financial data, meeting assigned deadlines, and escalating issues early.
• Maintain high-quality financial documentation and ensure transactions are complete, accurate, and aligned with company policies and accounting standards.
• Partner respectfully and clearly with Finance, Sales Operations, Services, and other teams to gather information and resolve day-to-day questions.
• Assist with reporting, audit support, process documentation, and special projects as the finance team evolves.
• Identify recurring errors, manual steps, or unclear handoffs and bring forward thoughtful recommendations that improve accuracy, visibility, or efficiency.
