Job summary

CFS is seeking a Junior Accountant / Accounting Assistant in La Grange, IL, to join its growing accounting team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across the full accounting cycle and exposure to ERP systems, financial reporting, and process improvements.

You will work closely with senior leadership, supporting daily activities while developing expertise in accounting and business operations for long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with bookkeeping principles and processes.
• Understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or NetSuite.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping across the full cycle.
• Support AR processes and provide backup for AP functions.
• Prepare account reconciliations and maintain financial records.
• Assist with financial reporting and month-end activities.
• Help manage ERP and accounting systems.
• Collaborate with leadership on special projects and improvements.
• Support documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance tasks.
• Contribute to ongoing operational and accounting initiatives.
