Job summary

gpac is seeking a Junior Accountant in Cleveland, OH. The ideal candidate has at least two years of accounting-related experience and an Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. You will handle cash receipts, AP, reconciliations, month-end close, and cross-train across accounting functions.

Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software is expected. This is a stable, professional environment with growth through cross-training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency with Excel and general accounting functions
• Experience with reconciliations and transaction processing

Responsibilities

• Process and apply cash receipts and payments accurately.
• Assist with vendor invoice processing and accounts payable functions.
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Research and resolve transaction discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and data.
• Collaborate across accounting functions and participate in cross-training.
• Communicate with internal teams to resolve questions and issues.
• Utilize accounting systems and Excel to analyze financial information.
• Support additional accounting projects as needed.
