Job summary

gpac is seeking a Junior Accountant in Cleveland, OH to join the accounting team. The role targets candidates with at least two years of experience and a solid grasp of basic accounting principles in a professional services setting.

The successful candidate will process cash receipts and payments, handle AP tasks, and perform reconciliations. Strong Excel skills and adaptability to new systems are required for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply cash receipts and payments accurately.
• Assist with vendor invoice processing and accounts payable functions.
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Research and resolve transaction discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial data.
• Work collaboratively across accounting functions and participate in cross-training.
• Communicate with internal team members to resolve accounting-related questions.
• Utilize accounting systems and Excel to maintain and analyze financial information.
• Assist with additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed.
