Job summary

Responsibilities include reconciliations, journal entries, work papers, and GAAP compliance, with potential involvement in financial statements and foreign currency translations as needed.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements and consolidation accounting required.
• Understanding of accounting principles, GAAP.
• Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
• Ability to work independently, prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.
• Ability to prepare and present working papers and supporting documentation.
• Proficiency with PC software such as Excel, other Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliations and reviewing reconciliations.
• Complete journal entries.
• Prepare work papers, schedules and reports.
• Ensure transactions align with authority, policies, and GAAP.
• Explain accounting practices and procedures when needed.
• Prepare accounting reports and supplemental schedules.
• Analyze inter-company relationships and transactions.
• Upload journal entries monthly.
• Prepare account reconciliations for department accounts.
• May prepare financial statements.
• May prepare foreign currency translations.
• Prepare reports for GAAP compliance.
• Respond to SOX and internal audit requests.
• Assist with special projects as necessary.
