Job summary

VUMI in Miami, FL is looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting tasks and banking activities in a professional office.

You will assist with Accounts Receivable/Payable, billing and reconciliations, payroll support, and monthly/year‑end processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has an AA degree in accounting or finance, at least two years of accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills, plus solid communication.

Qualifications

• AA degree in accounting or finance
• Two years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with ACH and wire transfers
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel
• Knowledge of basic accounting terminology and practices
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to find and correct errors

Responsibilities

• Support Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable functions
• Assist with weekly Claims & Commissions
• Assist with Billing and Account Reconciliations
• Provide support for monthly/year-end accounting functions and audit preparation
• Support payroll processing
• Perform basic administrative functions (mailing, filing, scanning, etc.)
• Update spreadsheets for various tasks
• Correct, process, and reconcile accounting documents
• Assist with other accounting projects
• Perform other duties as assigned
