Job summary

DHI Mortgage, a subsidiary of D.R. Horton, is seeking an Accountant I to support the creation and maintenance of financial records. You will ensure transactions are properly recorded and assist with monthly close processes.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and up to two years of experience. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required.
• Zero to two years of related experience and/or training.
• Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cost accounting: manage general cost accounting functions and related duties.
• Record and maintain accurate financial accounting records.
• Assist in balance sheets, profit and loss, and other financial reports.
• Perform account reconciliations of balance sheet and income statements.
• Participate in month-end close and general ledger reconciliation.
