Quaker Houghton, based in Conshohocken, PA, seeks an accounting professional to execute complex accounts payable duties and support general ledger activities. You will assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close while collaborating with Fluidcare, GFBS, and Consolidations teams to ensure accurate reporting.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or chemicals industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining the general ledger and journal entries with proper supporting documentation.
• Perform routine reconciliations and research reconciling items.
• Support month-end and quarterly close with schedules, variance explanations, and analyses.
• Help ensure balance sheet accounts are accurately stated and aligned with the general ledger.
• Assist in reviewing financial results and identifying unusual trends or variances.
• Support SOX-404 control activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and support reporting needs.
• Complete ad hoc analyses and projects as requested by management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and accuracy.
