Job summary

The Segal Group, Inc is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, and close activities. You will assist with reporting, budgeting support, and adherence to internal policies and accounting standards for ongoing growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or other quantitative and analytical related academic discipline.
• 1+ years of relevant accounting and/or financial administration experience, with familiarity with basic accounting principles and the ability to research, analyze, and summarize financial information.
• Experience and/or familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Power BI is preferred.
• Demonstrated initiative, strong time management and organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal, client service, and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in teams, interact professionally with others, and communicate clearly by phone and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, daily cash sheet preparation, and bank and cashbook reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheet and expense account reconciliations, including general ledger, bank statement, and daily cash sheet activity.
• Create monthly internal Profit and Loss statements for distribution to reporting groups and provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for leaders, including Directors and the CFO.
