A mission-driven nonprofit organization in Miami is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support its finance operations, with a focus on accounts receivable, billing, and donation processing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about nonprofit work and looking to contribute their financial skills to a values-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage billing, invoicing, and receivables related to programs, grants, and donations
• Post online gifts and donations to both fundraising and accounting databases
• Reconcile donor transactions and prepare related reports
• Apply payments, reconcile accounts, and follow up on outstanding receivables
• Assist with deposits, credit card processing, and electronic funds transfers
• Coordinate with fundraising/database teams to ensure financial data accuracy
• Support journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Provide audit support and help prepare financial documentation as needed
• Contribute to special projects and day-to-day finance functions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or 2–3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in AR, billing, or donation processing preferred
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to the mission and values of the nonprofit sector
