Role: Junior Accountant
Reports to: Controller
Location: Marietta, GA
Roles and Responsibilities:
The candidate will be the Junior Accountant supporting the service center accounting function based in Marietta, GA, and will report to the Controller and Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will have the ability to function in a fast paced, high-energy environment. More specifically, the new Junior Accountant will be tasked with the following:
· Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for seven different entity locations
· Analyze financial information and prepare balance sheet subledgers as well as reconciliations
· Coordinate with management and staff to prepare annual budgets and forecasts
· Assist and facilitate preparation of monthly distributions
· Resolve accounts payable and receivable issues or queries
· Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions
· Complete month-end close task lists
Qualifications and Experience:
The new Junior Accountant will require the following qualifications and experience:
· Financial Experience. 1-3 years of accounting work experience and general knowledge of accounting principles and practices
· Team Building and Leadership. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Systems Experience. Jan Pro utilizes Sage Intacct, ZenDesk, and other CRM tools. Experience with these or like systems is a plus. Proficient at Excel and PowerPoint. The right candidate will be tech savvy and a quick learner.
· Franchise Experience. While not mandatory, experience in overseeing multiple franchises will be favorably viewed.
· Organizational Skills. Keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and data entry of multiple markets is imperative.
· Time Management. Ideal candidate possesses strong time management skills, allowing them to prioritize tasks effectively and handle various projects simultaneously.
