A thriving biotechnology company in Boston is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team. Reporting into the Accounting Manager, this role will support all aspects of the accounting function. The ideal candidate is a driven problem-solver with excellent attention to detail.

Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Assist Accounting department with preparing journal entries, perform reconciliations, and perform account analysis.
• Apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to prepare income and balance sheet statements and various other accounting statements and reports.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable responsibilities.
• Assist in audit of fixed assets as well as financial audits.
• Reconcile bank accounts and prepare daily cash log.
• Provide data and analysis for month end reports.
• Ad hoc analysis as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 1-3+ years directly applicable accounts payable experience or relevant accounting/finance experience preferred.
• Strong customer service-type attitude and ability to successfully deal with employee and vendor questions and resolve issues.
• Absolute integrity and the use of good judgment to handle the confidential nature of duties, tasks and information.
• Incredibly detail-oriented and results driven.
• Ability to meet critical deadlines.
