Vallarta Supermarkets invites applications for a Juice Bar Lead in California. You will assist the Taquería Manager, supervise Juice Bar cashiers, and ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

You will oversee pricing, inventory, and displays while coaching staff to uphold Vallarta’s values. The role requires flexibility to work afternoons/evenings/weekends and compliance with health standards.

Qualifications

• 6 months grocery or food retail experience required.
• Ability to lead and train team members.
• Knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and quality control.
• Basic computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, and inventory systems).
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Taquería Manager with planning, organizing, and controlling Juice Bar operations to achieve sales, labor, and profitability goals.
• Train and mentor Juice Bar Cashiers, modeling Vallarta’s core values: customer service, commitment, integrity, respect, humility, and teamwork.
• Prepare and oversee Juice Bar food and beverages, ensuring consistency in quality, appearance, and portion sizes.
• Audit product pricing, tare weights, and inventory accuracy.
• Perform monthly physical inventory counts with the Taquería Manager.
• Maintain food in refrigeration cases fresh, rotated, and in compliance with Health Department standards.
• Order supplies, packaging, and utensils in a timely manner to prevent out-of-stocks.
• Create attractive, fully stocked displays with accurate signage and pricing.
• Greet customers, address escalated feedback, and use suggestive selling techniques to promote sales.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance in all Juice Bar areas.
• Enforce Vallarta’s dress code, safety, and sanitation policies.
• Report employee complaints, concerns, or injuries to management promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
