Responsibilities

• Lead the judiciary legislative portfolio, including gun violence prevention, child welfare, adoption, LGBTQI issues, voting rights, and judicial nominees.
• Draft and analyze pending legislation and develop legislative responses.
• Coordinate with committees to mark-up bills and build cross-Senate support.
• Brief the Senator on legislative measures and prepare background reports and memoranda.
• Collaborate with the Communications team to support portfolio messaging.
