Job summary

Erie County Government is seeking a Law Clerk to support the Common Pleas Court under Judge David Ridge.

The role involves performing legal research to decide cases and write opinions, drafting orders and memoranda, and coordinating with judges and counsel during hearings. You will also assist other staff in daily duties, contributing to an efficient court workflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Law or Juris Doctor Degree from an Accredited Law School.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Performs legal research for the purposes of deciding cases and writing opinions.
• Drafts opinions, orders and legal memoranda.
• Consults with judges concerning research.
• Attends hearings, serve as a liason between counsel and the court.
• Assists other office staff in the completion of duties.
