Job summary

The City and County of Denver's Denver County Court seeks a Judicial Associate I to support Judge Whitlock. The role rotates across courtrooms, maintains confidential records, and coordinates with defendants, attorneys and court personnel in a high‑volume division.

Requires high school diploma or GED, two years in a court or legal setting, ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to pass security screenings; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in a court, law enforcement or legal setting.
• Experience with electronic filing systems/databases is a plus.
• Experience with electronic filing systems/databases is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be a valued member of a small, collaborative team in a high‑volume division.
• Provide excellent and unbiased service to all customers of the Court.
• Work independently and with stakeholders in a fast-paced courtroom.
• Maintain detailed and confidential records and act as liaison between defendants, attorneys, court personnel, and the judicial officer.
• Represent the judicial officer and the court professionally as the face of your courtroom.
• Rotate to different courtrooms depending on the judge's rotation.
• Adjust work hours as needed for trials, hearings or high-volume dockets.
• Enter orders and findings in real time during Court proceedings.
• Develop process and operations expertise and find proactive solutions where possible.
