Job summary

Denver County Court is seeking a Judicial Assistant II for the Criminal and General Sessions Division. The role is in-person at the Lindsey Flanigan Courthouse, 520 W Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204, Monday–Friday 7:30 AM–4:00 PM with a flex schedule after 6 months subject to supervisor approval.

The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, public service commitment, strong organization, and excellent communication, with potential Spanish language bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED/HiSET/TASC is required.
• 3 years of clerical experience and 1 year in court, law enforcement or a legal setting.
• Combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent and impartial customer service to all who access the court via telephone, in person, and in writing.
• Create and maintain an accurate court record.
• Explain complex legal processes clearly to customers with varying needs.
• Perform clerical tasks including cashiering, fulfilling record requests, filing motions, delivering mail, and processing applications for community service and payment plans.
• Provide input on process improvements to coworkers and leadership.
