Magen David Yeshivah is seeking a Judaic Studies Assistant Principal to lead instructional initiatives, collaborate with a leadership team, and support curriculum development in alignment with the school’s mission. The role emphasizes Hebrew fluency, Judaic program oversight, and community partnership.

The candidate should bring a Master’s in Educational Administration or Rabbinical Ordination, 7–10 years of teaching experience, and strong tech and Excel skills.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree or higher in education admin or Rabbinical Ordination.
  • 7–10 years of successful teaching experience.
  • Experience with school administration and internal operations.
  • Strong ability to raise student achievement with staff collaboration.
  • Effective communication for staff evaluation and planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel) and technology.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Hebrew fluency and Sephardic Hebrew reading knowledge.
  • Experience running Judaic Studies programs for 3–5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Principal in developing and evaluating the instructional program.
  • Provide instructional leadership with current techniques and tech.
  • Collaborate with leadership team in school administration.
  • Evaluate student performance and drive improvements.
  • Conduct parent and student meetings and attend activities.
  • Supervise instructional programs and observe classes.
  • Screen and interview staff for employment and contracts.
  • Mentor and supervise teachers' development and evaluation.
  • Coordinate curriculum development and new program implementation.
  • Partner with parents to challenge students appropriately.
  • Support staff in behavior response and community relations.
  • Maintain positive communication with the community.
