Job summary

Quality Consulting Group, LLC in Puerto Rico is seeking a results-driven Field Service Engineer to join our team. You will travel locally and regionally, visiting hospitals and healthcare facilities to inspect and service infusion pumps and related equipment.

You will install, calibrate, maintain, repair, and modify devices, train customer personnel, analyze failures, and recommend improvements, while documenting service activities and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant field service experience.
• English reading and comprehension required.
• Willing to travel locally and abroad.
• Own vehicle with valid driver's license.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Overtime and some holidays/weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cover nearby regions and travel across the island to visit hospitals and healthcare facilities.
• Inspect, evaluate, and service infusion pumps ensuring proper function and compliance with standards.
• Install, check out, operate, maintain, repair, and modify equipment.
• Provide training to customer personnel on operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures.
• Analyze equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Advise on design changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Devise and implement preventive maintenance programs and keep records.
• Participate in installation planning and assist with documentation and quality issues.
• Adhere to environmental, health and safety SOPs and policies.
• Schedule service calls with customers and complete service documentation.
• Perform tests/diagnoses of systems.

In this role, you’ll work with a highly enthusiastic team, contributing in a world-class manufacturing industry in Puerto Rico & USA.

Responsibilities:

• Candidates will be responsible for covering nearby regions and traveling across different areas of the island, visiting hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout Puerto Rico.
• As part of their duties, they will inspect, evaluate, and service infusion pumps, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with established quality and safety standards.
• Installs, checks out, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment.
• Provides guidance and training to customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques.
• Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action.
• Advice and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation.
• Devises and implements preventive maintenance programs and keeps performance and maintenance records on equipment.
• Participates in installation planning phase.
• Assists technologists and/or management in evaluation of device problems, procedural issues, and documentation and quality issues.
• Adhere to all environmental, health and safety SOP’s, equipment, policies, and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
• Schedules service calls with customers in accordance with current procedures published by national and regional management.
• Repair devices in accordance with specific documents or SOP’s and complete necessary service documentation.
• Performs tests/diagnoses of systems.
• Identifies and implements corrective actions on processes and non-conformance issues covered by documentation in accordance with Quality/Regulatory requirements.
• Conducts all roles and responsibilities with the ethics and compliance platform.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of experience, or associate degree plus 5 years of experience in a related field service, electronics, technical, etc., or In lieu of degree, 5-7 years field service experience.
• Computer Literate.
• Ability to read and comprehend material written in English.
• Problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willing to travel (locally and abroad).
• Overtime may be required at times.
• May require working some holidays and weekends.
• Required have own vehicle.
• Available for 1st shift.
• Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM.
• Weekends as needed.
