Job summary

Rutherford County Schools seeks a JROTC Army Instructor. Candidates must have 8 years of cumulative honorable service with limited separation, or be a retired service member in appropriate ranks, and meet CCR 145-2 requirements. A Pre-Qualification Memorandum from U.S. Army Cadet Command and health/background checks are required.

Additional eligibility includes recommended letters from current commanders and adherence to AR and CCR guidelines. See attached job description for further details.

JROTC Army Instructor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Staff Sergeant or above (E-6 to E-9), W-1 through CW-5, with a minimum of 8 years of cumulative honorable service with no more than five years of separation or retired time.
• Or be a retired service member of the United States Army in the grade of W-1 through CW5, or E6 through E9 and meet Certification Requirements prescribed in Cadet Command Regulation (CCR) 145-2 and not have been retired more than five (5) years at the time of initial employment in a JROTC position.
• ARNG/USAR (Actively Serving/TPU) ? Same eligibility plus Letter of Recommendation from current Commander and current DA Form 5016 or NGB 23A.
• All candidates must meet the retention medical fitness standards and height/weight standards as prescribed in AR 40-501 and CCR 145-2.
• Must have a Pre- Qualification Memorandum from U.S. Army Cadet Command to apply for a JROTC Instructor position.
