In this role, you will work across the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)—from learning business operations and gathering requirements to building, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications. You’ll partner closely with senior developers and internal stakeholders to turn operational challenges into intuitive, high-impact software solutions.
This position is ideal for someone with strong foundational programming skills who is excited to deepen their expertise in full-stack web development, cloud architecture (AWS), and database management.

- Operational Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and operational staff to understand their day-to-day workflows and translate user stories into clean UI/UX components.
- API & Backend Integration: Help design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL services using Java, Node.js, and Express.
- Database Management: Write, optimize, and maintain queries for both relational (SQL, MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
- Code Maintenance & Enhancements: Maintain existing applications, debug issues, and develop new features to expand platform capabilities.
- Quality Assurance: Write automated unit and integration tests using frameworks like JUnit and Jest to ensure system reliability.
- System Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation covering environment setups, system architecture, and user guides.
What We're Looking For
Technical Qualifications
- Backend & APIs: Basic understanding of Node.js/Express or Java backends, alongside RESTful web services or GraphQL.
- Databases: Practical experience or coursework involving relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL concepts (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Version Control & Environment: Hands-on experience with Git and basic command-line navigation in Linux/Ubuntu environments.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB).
- DevOps & Containers: Basic understanding of Docker containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
- Automated Testing: Hands-on exposure to testing frameworks like JUnit and Jest.
Soft Skills & Mindset
- Growth Mindset: Strong adaptability and a passion for learning new tools, frameworks, and domain-specific workflows.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Curiosity to analyze user pain points and collaborate on scalable technical solutions.
- Effective Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical ideas to both engineers and non-technical teammates.
Education & Experience
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of software engineering experience (internships, co-ops, bootcamps, or personal project portfolios included).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
