Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Jr. Scrum Master to support Agile software development teams on the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Next program. You will help plan and execute sprint activities, facilitate ceremonies, track progress, and support continuous improvement in a regulated environment.

You will work with the Agile Coach, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to enable predictable delivery, exposure to cloud technologies, DevSecOps practices, and AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• SAFe 6 Scrum Master certification required.
• Working knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies, security concepts, and cloud environments.
• Understanding of software development principles and SDLC.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps tooling and principles.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and cross-functional teams.
• Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support Continuous Flow/Kanban or planned sprint activities.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies: Refinements, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, Reviews/Demos.
• Track basic team metrics and delivery data for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Identify and resolve impediments, escalate complex issues involving dependencies or processes.
• Track and communicate team status, risks, dependencies, sprint progress, and availability.
• Coordinate development, documentation, configuration, testing, debugging, and delivery activities.
• Support SAFe 6 and XP practices with Agile leaders.
• Assist adoption and use of AI-assisted development tools.
• Support DevSecOps concepts, processes, and tools.

Job description

Leidos is seeking a Jr. Scrum Master to support Agile software development teams for future work on the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Next (C1N) ACSS contract . In this role, you will work within a Scaled Agile software development organization to help teams plan and execute sprint and Continuous Flow/Kanban activities, facilitate Agile ceremonies, track progress and dependencies, and support continuous improvement.

You will work alongside the Agile Coach, technical team members, Product Owners, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support predictable delivery in a highly regulated environment. The role will also provide exposure to modern cloud technologies, DevSecOps practices, and AI-assisted software development tools while supporting the delivery of Cloud One capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the team in executing Continuous Flow/Kanban or planned sprint activities.
• Facilitate team Agile ceremonies, including Refinements/Sprint Planning, Daily Boardwalks/Standups, Retrospectives, and Reviews/Demos.
• Track basic team metrics and delivery data to help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Help identify and resolve team impediments, escalating more complex issues involving dependencies, development, builds, operational support, or processes as needed.
• Track and communicate team status, risks, dependencies, sprint progress, and availability to appropriate team and program stakeholders.
• Work with technical team members throughout the software development life cycle by helping coordinate development, documentation, configuration, testing, debugging, and delivery activities.
• Support the Agile Coach and other Agile leaders in implementing SAFe 6 and Extreme Programming practices across the team.
• Assist the team with the adoption and use of AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, debugging, and testing activities.
• Support the team's use of DevSecOps concepts, processes, and tools.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, Product Owners, and other cross-functional team members to help the team meet sprint commitments and project milestones.
• Communicate with internal teams and stakeholders to coordinate activities, resolve routine issues, and maintain alignment on team priorities.
• Participate in PI Planning events and support the team in preparing objectives, identifying dependencies, and tracking commitments.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• SAFe 6 Scrum Master certification.
• Working knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies, security concepts, and cloud environments.
• Understanding of software development principles, practices, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles, processes, and tooling.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams.
• Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of or experience with AI-assisted coding (Claude Code, Codex etc.).
• Knowledge of or experience with microservices and cloud-based environments.
• Knowledge of or experience with Terraform / Ansible.
• Knowledge of or experience with Cloud Certifications.
• Knowledge of or experience with Operations Experience.
• Advanced SAFe 6 or AI-Native SAFe certifications.
• SAFe 6 DevOps certification.
• SAFe 6 Experience/ Knowledge of AI-Native SAFe.
• SAFe 6 Leading SAFe certification.
