Job summary

Mission in Motion is hiring a Jr. Salesforce Developer in the Indianapolis area who will learn and grow within the Salesforce landscape. You will design, develop, test, and deploy Apex, LWC, Aura, and Visualforce code, while maintaining quality and reducing technical debt.

You’ll work closely with a Salesforce architect and consultants, develop using SFDX in VS Code, and create unit tests. This role emphasizes continuous certification and professional growth in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a STEM field.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Works well in a team and collaborates with coworkers and customers.
• Excellent time management to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills to determine optimal solutions.
• Passion for learning Salesforce and staying current in the space.
• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.

Learn how to design, develop, test, and deploy Apex, LWC, Aura, and Visualforce code on the Salesforce platform.

Maintain and support code in Salesforce implementations of all shapes and sizes.

Work daily with a team composed of a Salesforce architect/team lead and other Salesforce consultants and developers.

Develop using SFDX in Visual Studio Code. Create unit tests in Apex, LWC, and Aura.

Implement best practices on pro code customizations to minimize technical debt.

Recommend and implement low-code customizations if more appropriate than pro code.

Acquire and maintain new certifications with time on the job for learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a STEM field.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects and accounts.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Works well in a team. Developers will be communicating daily with coworkers and customers and will be working together with both to achieve business outcomes.
• Excellent time management with the ability to manage and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to take complex situations and determine optimal solutions for them.
• Enjoys learning and keeping up with the latest and greatest in the Salesforce space.
• Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute.

Bonus Points

• Salesforce certifications.
• Experience creating mockups in Sketch using the Lightning Design System Plugin.
• Able to commute to the corporate office.
• Familiarity with the EOS methodology is a plus.
